OK, during the pandemic I may have gained a few pounds, like many of us. All I really know for sure is that my pants are not fitting the way they used to. I hate to shop for clothes, so I decided I needed to do whatever it took to lose the extra pounds.
In the winter when it got too cold to go outside and walk or ride my bike, I was forced to come up with other alternative ways to exercise. I am fortunate enough to have a small space in my basement where I could watch YouTube exercise videos. I started out doing 30-minute yoga classes for beginners. After a while, I realized that wasn’t going to cut it and I was going to have to really start moving my body to get the weight off.
One of the best videos I found for this was Team Body Project – Home Workout Videos | Team Body Project
I really like the guy who runs this workout. He’s cute, he has an accent and they do all levels of exercise. I can tell you I am so glad I didn’t have to go into a class setting to do these exercises. I’ve never been the most coordinated person in an exercise class, even when I was in my 20s. I’m the girl you look at and think for God sakes woman, get it together!
I remember laughing at myself in my basement the first couple of times I did the 30-minute beginner workouts – Beginner Workout and thinking I’m so glad no one can see me doing this. I was all over the place. They move fast and if you can’t keep up don’t worry about it. Just do your best. That is good enough. 😊
TBP founders, Daniel and Alexandra are there to keep you on track. In every video work out they have everyday people who are working out in the background. This helps, I think if they can do this so can I.
